Sunday – Another Day of Rest

Today was even less eventful than Saturday. In our books that is an awesome day. Preston got outside a good part of the day to play football with the neighbors again. Such a good break for him. He’s been out of school all last week to spend as much time with his dad as he could. But we are both feeling the need to get back to normal the best we can. He’s going to try school but only with the promise that I would come get him immediately if anything should change. I think it will be good for him as Chris sleeps more and more every day.

Chris did stay awake to watch the entire movie on Tupac Shakur. It was just him and I. We would talk about “Oh remember that?” or “That’s right, that did happen.” I found that at times I would almost forget the ugliness of our life right now and would find myself feeling like it was a normal Sunday night. I had a sense of relief but soon followed by a wave of nausea when I would remember. But for a short time, it was a nice break.

Tomorrow is the one week mark since we received the news that we would only have “a few days at best.” I always said my man is the most stubborn person I had ever met.

  1. Ok, I’ll give in to stubbornness can be a good trait, sometimes. Tell him we love him. ❤️

  2. Checking this page, has been the first thing that I do in the morning, and everyday I thank God for another day, thank you Kellie for taking the time everyday to share the joys of the day. It would be extremely hard just “not knowing”

even though the distance is far… I enjoy my “virtual hug” every morning…
